Wallabies flanker Scott Fardy will reportedly leave the Brumbies at the end of the Super Rugby season after signing a two-year deal with Irish powerhouse Leinster.

The 32-year-old is the latest big name set to leave the club who lost Stephen Moore, Joe Tomane and Matt Toomua at the end of last season and have David Pocock unavailable while on a one-year "studies and personal development" sabbatical.

"It's still a big year ahead at the Brumbies and I'm looking forward to the season ahead in Canberra," Fardy told Fairfax Media.

"I'm also excited about the chance to join Leinster next season.

"But I've got a lot that I want to achieve at the Brumbies and it should be a great year with the boys."

The late-blooming Fardy made his debut for the Brumbies in 2012, establishing himself as a mainstay in the team, and has won 39 Test caps.

He is an important player for the Brumbies' hopes this season as a new-look side aims to avoid missing the finals for the first time since 2012.
