The man believed to be the last of Victoria's Indigenous veterans to fight in the Second World War has been remembered at a service in the western Victorian town of Warrnambool.
Bill Edwards successfully enlisted with the Army at his second attempt, while he was underage.
He passed away last month, aged 91.
Historian Peter Bakker interviewed Mr Edwards for a book on Victorian Aboriginal war veterans.
