EDS:

South Australia's blackout and the impact of devastating storms on the state's farming sector will be on the agenda at a meeting of agriculture industry leaders.

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce said the industry was still feeling the impact after the state's energy network failed during severe storms last week, with the issue to be discussed on Thursday at a meeting of the agricultural industry advisory council in Adelaide.

"Wild thunderstorms happen often but I have never seen a state completely and utterly blacked out for which repercussions continue to be felt by the whole state, including the agricultural industry," he said.
