Fatal accidents during the Easter period

22 people have been killed on Australian roads during the Easter holiday weekend.

ROAD FATALITIES THIS EASTER HOLIDAY PERIOD:

* A 78-year-old man whose car rolled at Coodanup, Western Australia, on Thursday afternoon. He died in hospital on Friday.

* A man, 33, whose car rolled at Meadow, Western Australia, on Friday morning.

* A male motorcyclist, 28, who lost control and hit a pole at Red Hill, in Brisbane's northeast, on Friday afternoon.

* A woman involved in a head-on collision near Macksville, on the NSW mid-north coast, on Friday afternoon.

* A two-year-old girl who was in a ute that rolled on the Yorke Peninsula, west of Adelaide, on Friday afternoon.

* A man, 20, who died in hospital on Saturday after the vehicle he was travelling in left the road between Cairns and Cooktown, in far north Queensland, on Friday morning.

* A man, 32, whose car hit a tree in Moura, central Queensland, early on Saturday morning.

* A Durack woman, 31, who lost control of her car at Darra in Brisbane's southwest on Saturday night.

* A motorcyclist who crashed into a tree in Baxter, in Melbourne's southeast, on Saturday night.

* Two men, aged 23 and 25, in a ute that crashed into a power pole at Mt Isa, Queensland, on Saturday night.

* An eight-year-old girl and her nine-year-old brother who died in hospital after a two-car crash on Saturday evening on the NSW Central Coast.

* A woman pedestrian, 61, killed in Sydney's west on Sunday.

* A four-year-old boy killed while riding a scooter in Logan, south of Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.

* A motorcyclist in his 40s who smashed into a concrete barrier on Sunday night in Queensland.

* A male driver, 61, killed after his car rolled at Dundee Beach in the Northern Territory on Sunday night.

* A driver who died after the car hit a tree and burst into flames in Hacketts Gully in Western Australia on Sunday.

* A female passenger killed on the South Gippsland Hwy at Lang Lang in Victoria on Monday morning.

* A female driver found dead inside a crashed vehicle near Ouyen in Victoria on Monday morning.

* A male driver was killed after his car smashed into a boulder at Mr Cottrell in Victoria on Monday afternoon.

* A female driver, 22, involved in a head-on crash on Bussell Highway near Cowaramup in Western Australia on Monday night.
