There are reports two British teens may have travelled to Syria, with fears they were planning to join the self-proclaimed Islamic State group.

The boys, both aged 17 are thought to have flown from Manchester to Dalaman in Turkey on 31 March.

Police in the boys’ home county of West Yorkshire are supporting the pair’s parents, who are said to be in a state of profound shock.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Milsom told the BBC police are "extremely concerned".

"Our priority is for their safe return. Their families are gravely worried about them and want them home," he said.
