A Kurdish group is warning the people in Kobane could face genocide if Islamic State forces manage to seize the Syrian town.

A Kurdish group is warning the people in Kobane could face genocide if Islamic State forces manage to seize the Syrian town.

The Kurdish Association of Victoria says Australia should do more to protect the civilians in the town, where it says access to medical supplies and food is already scarce.

The association's Mahmut Kahraman has told Marina Freri his community fears the worst for the people of Kobane.
