Federal Liberal Party spat deepens

The treasurer of the Federal Liberal Party has reportedly called for Peta Credlin’s removal, allegedly labelling her the 'Horsewoman of the Apocalypse'.

In a confidential message, reportedly obtained by the ABC, party treasurer Philip Higginson told a senior party figure that Peta Credlin should removed as the Prime Minister’s chief of staff.

ABC program Four Corners reportedly obtained the message, which referred to Ms Credlin as the 'Horsewoman of the Apocalypse.'

The revelations follow leaked emails from Mr Higginson, which criticised the positioning of the husband and wife duo of Brian Loughnane, as Liberal Party Federal Director, and Ms Credlin.

This was the "most serious current dilemma" facing the party, he wrote, and "how this party ever let a husband and wife team into those roles" was beyond him.
