Female Liberal MP numbers on the wane

As the Liberal Party organisation and parliamentary team deal with bullying claims, the proportion of women in the party's ranks is shrinking.

LIBERAL WOMEN MPS

* 12 out of 60 lower house Liberal MPs are women

* At least three are leaving at the election.

* Five are in seats with margins below five per cent.

* A modest swing could halve the numbers at the next election, taking the proportion of women to its lowest level in 25 years.
