Ferguson replaces Maxwell in Australia A

Callum Ferguson has been called into Australia A's four-day team to play India A from July 22 in Chennai.

South Australian batsman Callum Ferguson has has been called into the Australia A four-day squad to tour India this month, replacing Glenn Maxwell who will stay in England with his county club Yorkshire.

Ferguson and the rest of the team will fly to the subcontinent on Saturday ahead of their two four-day matches against India A from July 22 in Chennai, with the Redbacks middle-order batsman staying on having already being named in the one-day squad.

Maxwell will continue playing for Yorkshire after county teammate Aaron Finch was ruled out with a fractured foot.
