FIFA fines German backroom staff

FIFA has fined two German officials a total of $17,600 for their over-the-top celebrations of Toni Kroos's goal against Sweden at the World Cup.

Two German officials have been fined and warned over their conduct by governing body FIFA for their behaviour in celebrating a late winning goal over Sweden at the World Cup.

Georg Behlau and Ulrich Voigt of the German football federation (DFB) media department were fined 5,000 Swiss francs ($A6,800) on Tuesday, FIFA said.

Both provoked the Swedish bench after Toni Kroos's stoppage-time winner and there were altercations between the two camps at fulltime.

The DFB had already said Behlau and Voigt would not be given functions at pitch side in Germany's final Group F match with South Korea on Wednesday.

Swedish official Jan Gustavsson also received a warning from FIFA over his role in the incident.
