NRL star Andrew Fifita has reportedly been questioned by police over a road rage incident in Sydney's south.

The Cronulla prop allegedly made threats to a 23-year-old man driving behind him on Captain Cook Drive in Taren Point around 2.30pm on Sunday, before punching and kicking the panels of the other car, according to Fairfax Media.

It's believed the other driver reported the incident to Miranda police, with Fifita later attending the station to give a statement.

No arrest was made but, according to the report, police are considering charges.

The Sharks said they were aware of the incident and had informed the NRL.

"No charges have been laid and police investigations are continuing," the club said in a short statement on Monday.

"No further comment will be made at this stage."
