Fifita restored to Hurricanes line-up

Lock Vaea Fifita is restored to the starting line-up for the Hurricanes' match against the Lions in Johannesburg.

Vaea Fifita will resume his locking partnership with Michael Fatialofa after he was restored to the Hurricanes' starting line-up to face the Lions.

Fifita takes Blade Thomson's spot in the second row in the only change to the starting side beaten by the Chiefs last weekend.

Coach Chris Boyd said both were just as adept starting or providing impact of the bench in Johannesburg.

There are two changes to the bench with halfback Jamison Gibson-Park promoted and James Marshall providing cover at fullback and first five-eighth.

Hurricanes: Jason Woodward, Cory Jane, Matt Proctor, Vince Aso, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara, Victor Vito, Ardie Savea, Brad Shields, Michael Fatialofa, Vaea Fifita, Jeff Toomaga-Allen, Dane Coles (capt), Reggie Goodes. Reserves: Motu Matu'u, Chris Eves, Loni Uhila, Blade Thomson, Callum Gibbins, Jamison Gibson-Park, James Marshall, Willis Halaholo.
