@Fight_DAESH: ADF sets up Twitter account to fight terrorists

The Australian Defence Force has set up a special Twitter account to counter lies and propaganda spread by Islamic State extremists.

Australia has taken its fight against Islamic State to a new frontier with a Twitter account.

The Australian Defence Force has set up the @Fight_DAESH account to correct false information spread on Twitter by the group and its sympathisers, using the hashtags #DAESHLies #DefeatDAESH and #NoToDAESH.

"We must always be vigilant to the lies being perpetrated by Daesh," Defence Minister Kevin Andrews told News Corp.
