Fiji prop Campese Ma'afu cleared to play

Fiji prop Campese Ma'afu will receive no further sanctions for his two yellow cards at the World Cup.

Fiji prop Campese Ma'afu has been cleared to play following a disciplinary hearing for accumulating two yellow cards and a warning during the Rugby World Cup.

Ma'afu's tournament has been eventful in every Pool A game he played.

He received a citing commissioner's warning for a dangerous tackle in the opening match against England on September 18, and received a yellow card against Australia on September 23 for a technical offence, and then for foul play against Uruguay on Tuesday, when Fiji's tournament ended.

Judicial officer Roger Morris of Wales decided at a hearing that no further sanction was necessary against Ma'afu, who plays club rugby for French second-tier side Provence.
