A US filmmaker has used digital animation to explore the aging process

A US filmmaker has re-created the ageing process by creating a compsite person called Danielle, who subtly shifts from childhood to old age in front of the viewer's eyes.

The five minute video, created by Anthony Cerniello with a team of two digital animators, was made by blending and morphing elements from many photographs of generations of the same family.

"I attempted to create a person in order to emulate the aging process," explains Mr Cerniello.

"The idea was that something is happening but you can't see it but you can feel it, like aging itself."
