Final body found in NSW drowning tragedy

The body of a man who disappeared alongside two others in rough surf on the NSW mid-north coast has been found.

The body of a third man, swept out to sea with a family on the NSW mid-north coast, has been found days after he disappeared in rough surf.

Junaid Mohammed was one of three men to wade into water at Moonee Beach on Monday evening to try to save three teenagers.

None of the men emerged alive.

Ghouseuddin Mohammed, 45, and Syed Rahath, 35, died at the scene.

Extensive air and sea patrols failed to locate Junaid Mohammed and, on Wednesday, emergency workers called off the search.

However police confirmed the 28-year-old had been found on Thursday.

The teenagers - girls aged 13 and 17 and a 15-year-old boy - managed to survive the incident.

It's understood the group were visiting the popular tourist town from Sydney's west.
