Final report for former News Corp

The company formerly known as News Corp posts its results on Wednesday morning, marking the last time print and broadcasting will report together.

Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox, formerly known as News Corp, will release its fourth-quarter and full-year results on Wednesday morning, Sydney time.

The report marks the final year of results for the combined broadcast and publishing operations, following the historic split of News Corp in June.

News Corp divided into 21st Century Fox - comprising the profitable pay TV, broadcast TV and film operations of Mr Murdoch's global empire - and New News Corp, which incorporates the company's Australian, US and UK newspapers, its book publishing arm and Australian pay TV business.

The two businesses will report separately in future, giving investors much more visibility into the publishing operations, which have historically been weaker than the broadcasting businesses.

Analysts expect the earnings announcement, which happens at 4.30pm New York time, will treat the publishing business earnings as discontinued operations.

Fox is expected to report 11 per cent revenue growth for the full year on a pro-forma basis, according to one analyst report.

Fox shares closed down 42 cents or 1.19 per cent at $34.82 on Tuesday.
