Finkler extends deal with Victory

Brazilian Gui Finkler has signed on with Melbourne Victory until the end of the 2015/16 season.

Melbourne Victory midfielder Gui Finkler will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2015/16 A-League season, after agreeing to terms on a new two-year deal.

Finkler played in every A-League match this season, scoring nine goals in his 29 appearances.

The 28-year-old said he was delighted to be extending his time in Melbourne.

"I love everything about Melbourne and I'm thrilled that I'll be here for at least another two years," Finkler said.

"Next season will be a very exciting one for us as a club and I am really happy to remain a part of Kevin (Muscat)'s squad. I know we're all desperate to go one step further and make the Grand Final in 2014/15, so I can't wait to help the club be even better."

Coach Kevin Muscat said the Brazilian was an important piece of the puzzle and he was excited to have him in Victory colours for the next two seasons.

"Gui is a talented individual and a big part of our set-up, so it's fantastic we will be able to call on his services for another two years," Muscat said
