Fire at halal markets deemed suspicious

A fire that broke out at Kippax Halal Markets in Holt a few weeks ago has been labelled suspicious by police.

A recent fire at halal markets in Canberra was suspicious, police say.

Several people noticed smoke coming from the roof cavity of the Kippax Halal Markets in Holt in the early hours of December 15.

Firefighters put out the blaze, which had broken out in an office area at the centre.

ACT police say they want to talk to anyone who noticed people or cars around the markets at the time of the fire.
