Fire watch and act in Albany's northeast

An out of control bushfire is burning at Bakers Junction, a suburb in Albany's north east.

A bushfire watch and act alert has been issued for part of the suburb of King River on the outskirts of Albany.

The warning applies for Bakers Junction, which is in the town's northeast.

The fire is burning in bushland between Bakers Junction Road House and the Albany Happy Days Caravan Park.

It is out of control and unpredictable, and moving in a west-north-westerly direction.

Fire crews are on the scene.

The cause of the fire, which was reported just before 2pm, is unknown.
