Firefighters extinguish burning Sydney bus

Firefighters have put out a fire that engulfed a bus in Sydney's north.

Passengers have escaped from a burning bus that caught fire on a bridge in Sydney's north. (AAP)

About 90 people have escaped a burning bus in Sydney's north.

The bendy bus caught fire near the Spit Bridge in Mosman on Wednesday afternoon.

It was extinguished by two fire crews and all 90 people on board escaped without injury.

The fire began toward the back of the bus, near the exhaust and engine.

The cause is not yet known.
