The people who line up for days at the front of the line for any launch usually gets their head on camera, so now marketers have caught on.

Salvatore Gerace and Christian Ibrahim from Alphatise at the front of the line at the Sydney George St Apple store admit it is all for publicity.

The iPhone6 may not go on sale for more than a week, but the first two spots in line have been secured at the Sydney George Street store.

However while these spots have been taken, they're being occupied by more than just two ordinary Apple fans.
That's because they're part of a guerilla marketing campaign by Sydney start-up venture Alphatise, which is using the event as a promotional competition and will give away the first two phones they purchase.
Salvatore Gerace from the company told SBS World News, they have set up camp since 12 o'clock Tuesday, the day before the official announcement by Apple.

Do you think they're smart, or are they ruining it for die hard Apple fans?
