A fisherman has died after he was swept off the rocks at a beach on the NSW south coast.

A fisherman has died after being been swept off rocks on the NSW south coast.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was washed from the rocks at Dark Beach, South Darras about 1.30pm on Sunday.

He was located in the water an hour later following and air and sea search but paramedics could not revive him, police said.
