Five people invade south Sydney home

Balaclava-wearing robbers have stolen two laptops and a mobile phone from a southern Sydney home after they threatened five residents with a knife.

Five men have forced their way into a south Sydney home, threatening the residents with a knife and escaping with laptops and a mobile phone.

Five people were inside the shared home on Union Street in Kogarah about 9.45pm (AEST) on Monday when the robbers, all wearing balaclavas, forced their way inside through a back door, police said.

One of the men grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened the occupants, while the others ransacked the home.

The group ran from the premises and were last seen heading towards Railway Street.

No one was injured and an investigation continues.
