Melbourne flanker Richard Hardwick will be a Rebel until the end of 2020 after signing a two-year contract extension with the Super Rugby club.
Hardwick has made six appearances this season after joining the Rebels from the Western Force, but is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
After earning two Wallabies caps last year the injury will rule him out of contention for next month's Test series against Ireland.
Hardwick said it was an easy decision to remain in Melbourne under ex-Force mentor Dave Wessels.
"The environment that's being created at the Rebels is something that is really exciting to be a part of,"Hardwick said.
