Flinders Uni considers Lomborg idea

Flinders University is in talks with the federal government about hosting a think tank in the style of climate contrarian Bjorn Lomborg's organisation.

The federal government is in talks with Adelaide's Flinders University about setting up a think tank along the lines of controversial climate contrarian Bjorn Lomborg's organisation.

A staff and student outcry at the University of Western Australia has left Dr Lomborg's Copenhagen Consensus Centre without a host institution.

"Discussions have been held among groups of Flinders academics regarding the possibility of any future collaboration with the Copenhagen Consensus Centre in addressing a number of major research questions of our time," a university spokeswoman told The Australian newspaper.
