The underage Indigenous football team will play two matches against the New Zealand Hawks as part of a cultural exchange.

The team was selected from the 2013 AFL KickStart championships.

Boomerangs coach Eugene Warrior said the tour will be demanding but rewarding.

The talented footballers will be accompanied and mentored by former Melbourne Demons star, Aaron Davey.

Davey’s nephew Kym LeBois said he was honoured to be a part of the group.

The Flying Boomerangs have had success with recent participants being drafted in the AFL and Warrior said he was hopeful of seeing more of the same in the future.
