Code hopper Israel Folau has reportedly signed a three-year deal with the Australian Rugby Union and NSW Waratahs.
The 26-year-old, who was kept quiet in Saturday night's semi-final loss to the Highlanders has, according to Fox Sports, signed a flexible contract similar to that of Waratahs five-eighth Bernard Foley, who will play in Japan along with Super and Test rugby.
His deal will keep him with the Wallabies and Waratahs until at least the end of the 2018.
There had been talk of Folau giving up his position with the Waratahs and Wallabies to join the Australian Sevens team and play at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The former NRL star and AFL player was linked with moves back to rugby league and his reported new deal will be come as a huge relief to Australian rugby and the Waratahs.
Folau has played 44 games for the Waratahs and 29 Tests for the Wallabies since he was signed from AFL club Greater Western Sydney in 2013.
The deal is expected to be announced in the coming days.
