Foley's western Sydney blitz continues

Luke Foley says even if he loses on Saturday he'll keep the faith with Labor voters and continue his opposition to Mike Baird's proposed asset sales.

Luke Foley's last-ditch campaign blitz of Sydney's west continues, with the Labor leader indicating he'll continue his opposition to electricity privatisation even if he loses the election.

With less than 24 hours before the polls open, Mr Foley has taken his campaign bus to the lower Blue Mountains and Fairfield to try to drive home his anti-privatisation message.

Both Mike Baird and Mr Foley have made this election a referendum on the premier's plan to lease part of the electricity network.

"I look forward to many years leading the Labor party," he told reporters in Fairfield on Friday.

"I take to this election the policy that Labor has taken to every election in the history of NSW - the monopoly electricity network remains in public hands for the public good.

"I'll be faithful to the views of our supporters - Labor voters overwhelmingly reject Mr Baird's privatisation policy.

"Win lose or draw in the next parliament, we'll stand up for Labor policy, for the people we represent."

Standing before nurses and care workers outside Fairfield Hospital, Mr Foley reiterated his party's pledge to unlock $1.7 billion in health spending without the sell off.

The most recent opinion poll shows Mr Baird has a commanding lead against Mr Foley, despite a concerted campaign against the premier's plan to lease 49 per cent of the state's polls and wires for 99 years.
