Brazilian soccer legend Pele

Pelé, one of the world's favourite and most enduring footballers, says he was surprised when Qatar won the rights to host the 2022 World Cup.

The Brazilian legend is in Australia on a delayed promotional visit after being admitted to hospital for kidney surgery.

He spoke exclusively today to SBS broadcaster, Les Murray.

Pelé says he is now in good health.
