Kieran Foran says preserving Manly's decade-long NRL finals run will be top of mind when he runs out at Brookvale Oval in Sea Eagles colours for the last time on Friday night.
A loss to the Sydney Roosters would end the Sea Eagles' finals chances and break their proud record of making the top eight every season for the last 10 years.
It will be five-eighth Foran's final game at Manly's home ground before he moves to Parramatta next year and he wants to exit on the right note.
Foran said he owed a lot to the Sea Eagles, debuting in 2009 and going on to win a premiership in 2011 as well as becoming a top-quality New Zealand international.
"I'd just love to finish the season off strongly," Foran said.
"This club's given me a lot ever since I've been here.
"I made my debut as an 18-year-old, I came into such a great side and I'm still in a great side.
"It'll be nice to finish the year strong, not only for the players, but for the coaching staff who are leaving."
Friday will also be club great Geoff Toovey's final home game as Sea Eagles coach after he was told he was not wanted by the club next season.
The Sea Eagles' two remaining clashes against the Roosters and Cronulla are must-wins and they must also rely on results running their way and eight-placed St George Illawarra dropping one game.
They looked to be flying with six wins from seven games before stumbling against Parramatta on Sunday.
Foran described the 20-16 loss to the Eels as the "kick up the butt we needed" but they were holding out hope of grabbing eighth spot.
"Winning is a must for us now, we have to win our remaining two and rely on a little bit of luck and hope the Dragons can lose a game there," Foran said.
"We're fully focused on ourselves on what we need to fix in terms of what we need to do better this Friday night up against the Roosters."
