The former "Doctor Who" actor didn't mince his words.

Actor David Tennant had a blunt message for US President Donald Trump "on behalf of the Scottish nation" during an appearance on British TV show The Last Leg.

Mr Tennant, who is best known for his role as the popular 10th Doctor in the long-running series Doctor Who, blasted Mr Trump following the protests during his visit four-day visit to the UK in early July.

"When he was over here and he was talking about England and he was saying 'I’m going out to Scotland for my golf course in Scotland cause people in London are protesting but obviously [in] Scotland they really like me," Mr Tennant said during the show.

"Can I say on behalf of the Scottish nation, we f****g don’t?”

This is not the first time Mr Tennant, who starred in the BBC's critically acclaimed series Broadchurch, has spoken out against the US president.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Mr Trump Tweeted that Scotland "is going wild over the vote. They took their country back", appearing to suggest Scots were in favour of Brexit.

Scotland voted in favour of the UK staying in the EU by 62 per cent to 38 per cent.

Following the remark, Mr Tennant appeared in a video reading out explicit Tweets correcting Mr Trump's mistake - again on behalf of the Scottish nation.

Mr Trump recently stated he felt "unwelcome" in London due to the large-scale protests during his four-day visit in July. This included protesters flying a 20-foot-tall inflatable baby bearing his face during his visit.
