Former AFL premiership player Adam Hunter has been fined $400 for possessing cocaine when he was stopped by West Australian police last month.
The former West Coast Eagles player did not appear in Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday but entered a plea of guilty to possessing a small amount of the prohibited drug near Geraldton, in the state's Mid West.
A submission that the 32-year-old should be given a spent conviction was rejected.
Hunter was fined $400 and ordered to pay $146.90 costs.
The magistrate also ordered the drug be destroyed.
Hunter played in the football club's premiership-winning team in 2006 and retired in 2009 after playing 151 games.
