Former NRL player played with broken foot

Castleford hooker Scott Moore has played through the pain of a broken foot during Sunday's win over Catalans Dragons in the Super League.

One-time North Queensland Cowboys hooker Scott Moore played with a broken foot in the Super League over the weekend - and came away with the win.

The Castleford star, who played six games during a forgettable stint with the Cowboys in 2013, played in Sunday's win over Catalans Dragons, using pain-killers to get through the game before discovering the break 28 hours later.

"Sunday was a pretty tough effort from Scott," Castleford coach Darryl Powell said.

"He's just as tough as teeth, and I thought he was awesome in the game.

"He had three pain-killers before the game and three at halftime - and actually trained the day after he did it.

"He only had a scan (on Tuesday) and he's just found out that it's broken."
