Camp 14, north of the capital Pyongyang, holds 15,000 prisoners and has farms, mines and factories.

Growing up with the prison's inhumane rules, Shin turned his mother and brother in as they tried to escape when he was just 13, and was forced to watch their execution.

Now 30, Shin is living in London and has written a book 'Escape from Camp 14' about his experiences.
