Former bikie member Toby Mitchell has appeared in a Melbourne court charged over an alleged road rage incident.

Former bikie gang member Toby Mitchell has been granted bail over an alleged road rage incident in Melbourne.

The 40-year-old appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday to face numerous charges over an incident involving a cyclist.

Mitchell allegedly drove toward the cyclist in Docklands on Monday night and yelled "why aren't you using the bike lane" before getting out of his car and punching him in the face, the court heard.
