Four teens have been stabbed in an organised brawl outside a Melbourne fast food store.

Police are yet to lay charges over the fight at the McDonald's restaurant on St Albans Road at St Albans, about 6.15pm on Sunday.

Witness Morgan Brown told the Nine Network that about 20 youths were involved in the violent brawl.

"One of them had a baseball bat, one of them used a stick out of a tree and fists, feet, stomping when he was on the ground - things like that," he said on Monday.

"(You) just couldn't do anything. That was the hardest part I guess."

Four teens, all aged 17, were taken to hospital.

Two of the boys, from Braybrook and North Melbourne, have serious injuries to their upper bodies.

The others have cuts to the face and arm wounds.

Police spoke to a number of witnesses at the scene, but have asked anyone with information to contact them.
