Four NRL fans identified at Bulldogs match

After releasing images of 13 fans following crowd violence at the Canterbury-Souths match on Good Friday, police have identified four people.

Four Canterbury fans are assisting police after being identified in relation to crowd violence following the Bulldogs-Rabbitohs match on Good Friday.

They were found after police released 13 images on Thursday from the end of the game at Sydney Olympic Park, when NRL officials were pelted with plastic bottles and other projectiles as they left the field.

The violence followed a decision to award South Sydney a last-gasp match-winning penalty.

Nine people are yet to be identified, and police want to hear from anyone who has photos or video from the match.

Digital files can be uploaded anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

Those found guilty of throwing projectiles face possible bans from Sydney Olympic Park, and the NRL has also raised the possibility of life bans.

Two men have already been charged in connection with separate assaults before and after the game.
