Funding boosts for women's health body

The federal government has promised a $3 million boost in funding to women's health group Jean Hailes.

A women's health body started by the woman who pioneered menopause management in Australia will get a $3 million funding boost.

Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley will announce the 50 per cent increase to annual funding for Jean Hailes for the next three years in Melbourne on Friday, taking the total promise to $8.25 million.

"I applaud the work Jean Hailes does to promote women's health and wellbeing throughout the country," Ms Ley said.
