Gallen in doubt, Lewis and Dugan on track

Cronulla's Luke Lewis and Josh Dugan look set to be fit to face Melbourne in Friday night's NRL preliminary final, but Paul Gallen is still racing the clock.

Paul Gallen remains in serious doubt to run out for Cronulla in Friday night's preliminary final against Melbourne, but teammates Luke Lewis and Josh Dugan appear in the clear.

Gallen's injured shoulder improved again on Tuesday but he still looked tender at Sharks training, but Lewis' calf and Dugan's shoulder are in much better shape.

"It's coming along really well," Lewis said. "I had a really good run today and came off the park pain-free and feeling fresh ... It should be fine Friday night."
