Another potential candidate for Speaker has dropped out, with Teresa Gambaro choosing to focus on her Brisbane electorate.

Queensland Liberal National MP Teresa Gambaro says she won't run for the role of Speaker.

Ms Gambaro said she had been humbled to see her name mentioned as a potential candidate to fill the role being vacated by Bronwyn Bishop.

"I am 100 per cent focused on representing the people of Brisbane vigorously in the parliament and as such I will not be a candidate for the position," she told AAP in a statement on Tuesday.
