Gareth Ward faces new bullying allegations

Liberal MP Gareth Ward has been accused of bullying by Labor MP Anna Watson just days after a federal Liberal colleague levelled similar allegations at him.

NSW government MP Gareth Ward is facing fresh allegations of bullying and intimidation days after federal Liberal MP Ann Sudmalis accused him of such behaviour.

Labor MP Anna Watson on Wednesday asked premier Gladys Berejiklian in parliament if she had received a letter from a woman claiming Mr Ward yelled and intimidated her at a community meeting in June.

The letter accuses Mr Ward of having "anger management issues" and "no concept of appropriate behaviour".

"Mr Ward started to yell at me, leaned in over me in a manner that I found intimidating, yelling that I was rude," the letter alleges.

"I was left shaking and trying not to appear upset (which is very difficult when you want to cry!)."

Ms Berejiklian said she had not seen the letter.

Ms Watson then used parliamentary privilege to level her own allegations at Mr Ward, saying he had bullied her in the past.

"I have had my intelligence questioned ... I have been called a 'hopeless, infective and useless member of parliament' by the member for Kiama and these are classic hallmarks of a bully," Ms Watson said

"Since Ms Sudmalis made her statement to the federal parliament I have been inundated with emails and phone calls from constituents passing on their experiences with the member.

"They recount being shouted at over meetings, being talked down to, being threatened when they disagree with him."

Mr Ward responded to the allegations in the letter in parliament, saying: "I deny emphatically the claim that I yelled or bullied anybody at that meeting, that is simply not true, I wouldn't do that."

Ms Sudmalis, the member for Gilmore, on Monday accused Mr Ward in federal parliament of "bullying, betrayal and backstabbing", which Mr Ward has also denied.

"People shouldn't conflate losing a party ballot or disagreements as bullying - there is a very, very big difference," Mr Ward told AAP on Tuesday.

"If there is any evidence of bullying that should be brought forward, but, to date, I haven't seen that."

One of the men Ms Sudmalis accused of misconduct on Monday said she had abused parliamentary privilege.

"She really has disgraced the parliament in what she's done," Andrew Guile, who ran second to Ms Sudmalis in the 2012 Liberal preselection race, told AAP on Tuesday.

"It's basically just name-calling to slander a few people, myself included, just because we've had political contests in the past."

Ms Berejiklian described Mr Ward as "a hard working local member" and denied he was a bully following Ms Sudmalis' accusations.
