A woman has alleged she was touched inappropriately when she was a teenager while posing for a photograph.

A woman has told Time magazine that she was allegedly 'groped' by former US President George HW Bush while they were having their photograph taken together in 2003.

Roslyn Corrigan, who was 16 years old at the time, was a visitor at the CIA offices in Texas and was posing for a photo with Mr Bush when he allegedly "groped her buttocks," the magazine reports.

Mr Bush, 79 at the time, was speaking to CIA members at the state office in 2003 and Corrigan wanted to join her father - who was an intelligent officer - and listen to the former president's speech.

“My initial reaction was absolute horror. I was really, really confused,” Ms Corrigan said.
"What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that?’”

Mr Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath said the former president apologised for any offence he may have caused.

“George Bush simply does not have it in his heart to knowingly cause anyone harm or distress, and he again apologizes to anyone he may have offended during a photo op,” Mr McGrath told Time magazine in a statement.

Mr Bush has been accused of "inappropriately touching" at least three other women, according to CNN.

Following one of the accusations made to CNN, Mr McGrath said in a statement in October: "To try to put people at ease, the president (sic) routinely tells the same joke - and on occasion, he has patted women's rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner."

"Some have seen it as innocent; others clearly view it as inappropriate. To anyone he has offended, President Bush apologizes most sincerely."

Time said a spokesperson for the CIA, Ryan Trapani, declined to comment about Mr Corrigan's allegation against Mr Bush.

Mr Bush - who served as US president from 1989 to 1992, has been confined to a wheelchair for the past five years and suffers from vascular parkinsonism. The rare syndrome is similar to Parkinson's disease.
