Police are concerned a missing German tourist may have been injured after crashing his car east of Adelaide.

A missing German tourist may have been injured after crashing his car east of Adelaide.

Alexander Stelling, 32, was seen leaving his black Renault station wagon after colliding with a guard rail on the Dukes Highway near Tailem Bend on Thursday.

Police say he left his phone, passport and other property in the car.

Anyone who spots Mr Stelling, described as Caucasian, 190cm, with short blonde hair and blue eyes, should contact the police assistance line on 131 444.
