Coach Joachim Loew on Friday handed Liverpool defender Emre Can a squad call-up for Germany's crucial pair of Euro 2016 qualifiers next month.
The uncapped 21-year-old Can is a member of the 23-strong party for the fixtures at home to Poland on September 4 in Frankfurt and away to Scotland three days later in Glasgow.
World Cup winners Germany sit second in qualifying Group D, one point behind leaders Poland and two ahead of Scotland.
Can is the only newcomer to the squad but goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, defender Matthias Ginter and forward Kevin Volland have been recalled.
