Nicolas Ghesquiere has unveiled his first collection for Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week.
The creative director, who took over from Marc Jacobs in 2013, showed off the label's bold autumn/winter 2014 range in the French capital.
Models took to the catwalk to Kelis' hit track Copycat and while the lyrics spoke of stealing ideas, Ghesquiere's pieces were nothing but unique.
Leather was one of the main materials used for the line, with pieces such as an orange jacket with a black strip, and a rust-coloured dress with a patterned patch standing out.
The warm shades added an autumnal feel and the use of bright prints gave a fun touch.
Some ensembles - such as a camel-coloured blouse with a bold collar tucked into a pair of black high-waisted trousers - oozed sophistication.
Every piece on the runway had a relaxed feel. There was nothing too elaborate to wear for everyday events.
This approach was echoed in the models' simple appearances. They wore their hair down with a slight side parting and their faced had a natural finish.
Ghesquiere was excited to show off his new work and shared his delight through his show notes.
"Today is a new day. A big day," he wrote. "You are about to witness my first fashion show for Louis Vuitton. Words can't express exactly how I am feeling at this moment."
The show pulled in some big names on the front row. Princess Charlene of Monaco looked chic as she mingled with othe guests. She wore a black coat and her cropped blonde hair was slicked back.
