Ghostbusters building becomes Ramis shrine

Fans of Harold Ramis have been leaving candles and flowers at a New York building used in the hit '80s film Ghostbusters.

The building that served as the Ghostbusters' headquarters in the hit 1980s film has become a shrine to late writer, director and actor Harold Ramis.

Ramis died from a rare autoimmune disease on Monday at the age of 69.

Following his death fans of the funnyman started leaving candles, flowers and notes dedicated to Ramis at the Hook & Ladder 8 in New York.

Ramis starred alongside Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in Ghostbusters. He played the role of Egon Spengler.
