People in Adelaide will come face-to-face with the 'ghosts' of Australian soldiers who died fighting in wars across the world.
A group wearing Australian military uniforms from past and current conflicts will parade through the city on Wednesday to encourage reflection ahead of Remembrance Day on Friday.
Each will hold a card with the name and service details of an Australian who died at war.
The soldiers will be portrayed by RSL volunteers and members of Re-enact SA, while the Barossa Light Horse Historical Association will also be promoting the RSL's Poppy Appeal.
"This will truly bring home the sacrifice and the loss suffered through war - and how we must never forget," RSL SA chief executive Julia Langrehr said.
