Giants' Kelly focused on AFL finals first

As Victorian clubs table massive offers, Greater Western Sydney on-baller Josh Kelly is focused on a big finals campaign with the Giants.

Show me the premiership cup. Then show me the money.

That's the immediate outlook from GWS midfielder Josh Kelly as the AFL finals loom and Melbourne clubs dangle Godfather offers.

"No timeline but I'm not even considering it at the moment. I'm fully focused on the finals and excited by that," Kelly said on Wednesday about his AFL future.

Kelly is a Victorian native, comes out of contract at the end of this season and has just made his first All-Australian team.

The 22-year-old has attracted plenty of interest from rival clubs, with talk of contract offers that would set him up for the rest of his career.

Despite the rampant speculation about his future, Kelly has shone this season.

Like Richmond's Dustin Martin, who must decide on big free-agency offers, the Giants midfielder has impressed by setting aside the off-field issues and taking his game to another level.

"No doubt that's been pleasing, but I think this year that's been (because) I've been juggling a bit of a different role, so I've been chucked in the midfield a bit more than what was planned," he said.

"It's been pleasing that I've been able to step up in that manner, but I've got to give credit to my teammates as well.

"We've jelled as a midfield and it's been really pleasing."

GWS finished fourth and they will open the AFL finals series with Thursday week's away qualifying final against Adelaide.
