Carlton midfield star Bryce Gibbs will miss the Blues' upcoming AFL matches against Gold Coast and the Western Bulldogs after lodging an early guilty plea to his rough conduct charge against Port Adelaide's Robbie Gray.
Gibbs risked a three-match sanction had he unsuccessfully challenged the charge at the AFL tribunal.
Gibbs' sling tackle on Gray was deemed to be careless and of high impact.
The Port Adelaide star was briefly knocked out in the incident after his head made contact with the MCG turf.
Because Gibbs had pinned Gray's arms he was unable to break the fall.
Gray is considered certain to recover in time to play in Port's next match against Sydney at the SCG on July 2.
The tribunal is not required to sit on Tuesday night after all five players charged by the match review panel in round 12 took early guilty pleas.
Hawthorn duo Ben Stratton and Josh Gibson accepted $1000 fines for striking Adelaide forwards Eddie Betts and Charlie Cameron.
North Melbourne skipper Andrew Swallow also accepted a $1000 fine for tripping GWS midfielder Josh Kelly.
Geelong onballer Mathew Stokes was docked $1500 for a second charge of making careless contact with an umpire in Sunday's shock home loss to Melbourne.
